(Source: City of Austin, TX) With many animals still unclaimed after Halloween weekend flooding, the Austin Animal Center will waive the fee for owners reclaiming their lost pets through Wednesday, Nov. 4, to encourage pet-owner reunions. The Austin Animal Center provided a place for animals that were displaced by the storms as well as took in almost 200 lost pets from the weekend storms.
